I so far have received only 25% of my capital that I have in the ARPS market. I may never see the balance. I can thank UBS for getting me into the ARPS. I also had money in the Primary Reserve Fund but got that money out prior to the default.

97 cents on a dollar is great when you consider what could have happened. Just be glad you did not have your life savings in the Auction Rate Preferred Markets where some may not get their money back for 30 years or never.

Got a notice from Comcast today that October 1 is the day for the 250gb monthly limit to take effect. I hope this will not be a problem with my IB TWS and QuoteTracker (with 14 tick charts) running 9:30 to 4:00 5 days a week).

Jesse Livermore would say to never buy something because you think it is cheap but only if the time is right for it to move up. I do not know about the time line, but I do think IB is a good choice for a longer time period. I added to my IB position yesterday.

Running 3 Matrox quad cards for 12 monitors with no problems. I often only turn on 6 of the 12 monitors.

Since when can managers leave well enough alone. They just need a little more time and then they will implement their desired changes. I do not think those changes will be good for the client. Since a client can have a vote with their feet, I would also use the wait and see policy.

I go one step further. I have TWS on two machines plus when in doubt about the integrity of a TWS new release, I clone my hard drives prior to updating TWS so I can roll back to the clones as easy as changing a floppy disk.

I installed TWS 885.5 and when I opened TWS all of my TWS windows that were previously on monitor 10 were moved to monitor 1 (the primary monitor). I can drag the 3 windows to monitor 2 but when I try to drag them to any other monitor, they jump back to monitor 1. Does any one have a solution to...

I have been using AVG paid version for 6 years and in that time AVG has never found any thing. However, I have had a few problems caused by anti-virus software. I am on the internet every day but I am very careful about what I click on or download.

I have yet to see a data feed that did not lag in fast markets. Data feeds have lagged in fast markets since the days of the chalk boards, ticker tapes, Quotetrons, or whatever. Nothing has changed except the method on delivery.
