Unfortunately I must agree with your analysis. I would prefer to use Linux but must use my hated choice of Bill Gates' Windows to get the trading platforms, charting programs, accounting programs, and PC hardware support required to function the best for trading.:(

TOS will only get worse under TDAT ownership. Like a radioactive waste leak, TDAT management will contaminate every thing they touch.

You may want to call MBT to see what they are currently doing if you can not confirm what I said from the MBT web site. I opened my MBT account several several years back. I had the choice of setting up individual accounts or a all in one. I did the "all in one" account and yes I write checks.

A sure way to resolve this dilemma is to open an account at both IB and AT. You will then be able quickly see which broker works best for your trading.

Only on very liquid stocks can I even hope to buy 5000 shares with one limit price order. I have had little success with AT on such orders. I do better buying the 5000 shares in several small limit orders at IB's 1/2 cents a share price.
