North Korea's torpedo, Greece bankruptcy and volcanoes are bad news. And bad news brings Bubble Ben and his team (also known as the boyz) to rig the market up. Thus, my best bet for Thursday is that we will go up again, starting right at the beginning, trend day with little pullbacks...

Greece cds obscene at 489.46. Portugal also 21 bps higher at 222.47. this is really becoming unsustainable, but it failed to move the markets down so far (so far, in the last weeks). But this is really screwed. If the way out here is a series of bailouts, the PPT can manage to the stock market...

I think we will test the ES day top (1205) again today. Playing long with a short stop.

I know, you're totally right. I sometimes just cannot help to try to "guess" what is going to happen based on the news, and I indulge (not today, but sometimes). That is a weak point in my game that I have to correct.

Major game change it seems. I made money today going short, but won't trade anymore for today (it is friday) :-) I believe spx will close at the lowest of the day though. The ratings of our president were going down and it seems that we will have a financial reform with teeth and/or throw...

It is our bubbly friend Ben at work. As fattburger says, down days are not allowed. What is a little Volcano that can disrupt traffic for 1 year? Or a little country like Greece going down? Nada!

I am planning on buying on the the dips at spx 1202 and add more at spx 1192, if comes to there. Bad news = market up, to show that "everything is ok".

Buy alert: 1) Greece is starting to activate the "bailout" and it will be challenged to it in German courts and other obstacles like failing approval in some countries parliaments are possible. Bad news 2) Volcano in Iceland grounding flights all over Europe and that is of course going...

You mean, british pound? Up as well. Euro, very strong. And look at that, major widenings on the cds of several european countries today: Portugal: +28 bps; Spain: +12 bps How come the markets are ignoring all this, specially the European stock markets? Anyone?

Stocks strongly up again, and the Greece situation continues to deteriorate. CDS at 435.88, higher than Iraq. Economy there crumbling. they are going to default, bailout or not, because that is the best thing for Greece. And I think it is going to be soon. And the markets are just ignoring...

With all this talk about repo 105, account trickery and now the new story about Lehman funneling risk to a small company, it will be very interesting to see JPM results tomorrow. Will it have surprises... ?? Are (some) banks going to come clean?? The pressure is increasing on them, that's for sure.

If the main public/joe six pack is buying then it is because the end is near. This always works, although this time we have a different factor which is that IMHO it is a "policy" of the Obama administration/FED to make this market go up
