I used Amibroker ten years before and found it’s scans very slow, because all calculations have to be executed on your pc and not on a server. I used tc 2000 before but had some issues with it. So for me there are no other alternatives to scan the entire market as tos, tradestation and tc 2000...

You are absolutely right. To get this i first must learn to programm in c# ;-)

TOS gives you the possibility to programm and to set filters to scan the entire market. I did not find such capabilities on others. I know trade ideas, but it is not fully programmable. You can´t programm your own filters (price crossing weekly pivot, for example)

My question. Is it possible to set up NT8 in the same way like TOS?. I mean TOS can check the entire US Stock market in under a second. You can see which stocks changed most, you can get the %-change, volume etc. I couldn´t find the same capabilities in NT8. I like NT8 charting and the...

TradingView contains a public library with some automatic trend line indicators which I use. The same comes with think or swim with custom studies. I had the same needs like you.

When trading stocks you will get stopped out very often by using a 0,5 % risk stop. Guess you have a 10,000 $ account. A 0,5 % risk would be 50 $. Don´t know how to handle such a tight stop. Maybe trading forex, which i don´t

I guess you are trading automatically on your own coding. I haven´t the knowledge yet to programm my own strategy. I don´t know where to learn this. I´m using Tradingview, IBs tws, and tested Motivewave. But i haven´t learnt Java, C#, Phyton etc.

I got it after all. It was difficult to me to find the "start time column". It took some time to set up the layout correctly in the classic tws. Thanks a lot! When using IBs tws, do you prefer the classic tws or mosaic?
