I don't think IB is scaming you... I have opened more then one account and never had a problem. You may have left out information or they need additional information from you for security reasons.... You said you had to send proof of address. When did you send it... Maybe they didn't...

You can get a record from your phone company that would prove you called. You will get the number called, time and duration of call. Use this to help them locate your taped conversation that they probably lost on purpose. Nick
