I would run from your firm bro, I wouldnt want my money up (or my profits held btw pay periods) with a firm with such lax deposit requirements. I would be worried that they could get blown up on any given day!

4-6 months I think is very unrealistic, I would say at very minimum 6-8 months but most likely at least 1 full year to find consistency, and thats if you are good. Its a tough biz and it really depends on your desire and persistence.

First place to start is to use the search function and type in specifics that you are looking for. You should find lots of thread w/ plenty of info.

Of course it is....but there are plenty of highly successful equities prop traders, believe me.

Anyone who has the discipline to only post once in 7+ years has one major compenent of successful trading down pat :D

if its xyz (3 digits) than we are talking nyse. you have to sell the long first (1000 shares) and then the remaining can be executed short ONLY if its a Reg SHO stock (no uptick rule). If not you MUST wait for the uptick to get short. If it was as easy to short as that, I could have easily...
