    Ninja trader charts?

Wyckoff, do you pay extra for the Static SDOM or do you use the Dynamic SDOM? I guess if you're using automated trading it doesn't matter but I find that I have to use Zeroline because it gives me access to a Static DOM which is so much easier to use in fast moving markets. The Dymanic SDOM...

    IB midnight reboots (Eastern time)

Sh*t, i can't trade afterhours with that HK reboot schedule. I guess I'll have to stay away from the Asian markets between the US reboot time. I'm glad IB ain't running an airport control tower. thanks.

    IB midnight reboots (Eastern time)

Does anyone know what the reboot/reset time if you request to be moved to the HK servers? I trade both the US and Asian markets so will I get kicked off in the middle of the US market if I'm on the HK server? I've gotten f*cked several times because I trade the HSI and when a sudden move...

bernanke's being shown there is a higher power

The way Wall Street was crying credit crunch and end of the world, you'd think market was down 50% in a matter of months. But oh wait, that was a what - 10% correction? Bernanke is a slave to Wall Street, not a servant of the US. Looks like we're in the cusp of a Dollar and Commodity crisis...

    Ninja trader charts?

A recent user of Ninja 6 and I'm quite impressed with the product except for the Dynamic SDOM. I would much prefer that static one. Anyways, on to the charts. I love the charts. I've been using it now for a week, it's fast and I'm very impressed and surprisingly, Ninja is pretty light on the...

I am closing my IB account

Strange as this may sound but I actually subscribe to both ZLT and Ninja Trader but use ZLT primarily. I use ZLT as my main DOM but do run NT when I need a backup and/or complex strategies. But 95% of the time, ZLT will do and is quite great for a DOM front end.

IB: USD base currency want to trade DAX/HSI

I just made a trade and made a profit of $240 HKD on the HSI futures. I looked at my Account and it says I have $240 HKD realized. So, I clicked on close all non-base currency position and ended up with 30 USD.HKD positions on my account (?!). How do I convert this back to USD cash to realize...

    Where to get RAM

I buy from Newegg.com, most of my RAMs in the past were Kingstons or OCZ. Kingstons are slightly cheaper but since I don't run benchmarking, i couldn't tell the difference. both are reliable and good though.

    Self employed full time traders

I know I qualify for trader status. I just wanted to know the best way to file my taxes, not just how to file my taxes, to take advantage of my current status. This will be my first full year trading, hence, my quest to get a CPA to help me out. And yes, I might be contacting Green and/or...

    Self employed full time traders

Osorico, as it stands, I understand you're not classified into the self-employment category? does that mean you don't have to pay State and/or City tax, too? As a futures trader, do I have to apply for trader status or do I just leave it as it is and file my taxes with 1099, etc. Pay my...

New Highs In 2007 Yes Or No

New highs! Despite the recent downturn, I don't see the previous high as a blow off top so I don't think that was the top bears were looking for.

    Self employed full time traders

Last year, I reported some income tax while claiming self-employment and I believe I had to pay social security but that was not from trading, but from some IT consulting work I did for a company. This year, my income has been solely from trading futures. Based on not4kids' post, I can choose...

    Self employed full time traders

' You're a joke and so is your business. Please don't reply to this thread as you have nothing worthwhile to contribute anyways. I wanted to get the input of people who's been in this business a long time, not some guy who just got out of McDonald's University and trades from his dad's basement.

    Self employed full time traders

To those of you who have been trading full time for quite a while, I'm just curious if you claimed self employment or did you go as far as establishing a business name. Maybe establish a business name where you trade under even if you don't have any employees to maybe get any tax advantage or...

BnB, here is what real trading looks like

The reason he's not a sponsor is because he's a trader and he makes actual money from his trading. Not like some people who can't trade so they have to scam their way / sell snake oil to pay for the bills.

    Anyone trades with quad core?

I agree with gnome. Putting in more memory and using 10,000 rpm drives would probably benefit most traders more than a quad core would.
