I have never traded options. Would it be accurate to say that the lesson learnt is to avoid selling options when volatility is low? On 0206, volatility shot up and option prices shot up as well. Option sellers who sold during low volatility periods were killed as a result.

Long interest rate futures made a lot of money for CTAs in 2008 when stocks were crashing. At least I am not wrong in 2008 when it really mattered.

Be patient with my ignorance. Are FCM futures brokers? So, if customers default, FCM got to pay up? Is Interactive Brokers considered a FCM? IBKR was not mentioned in the report. I guess IBKR was saved by their auto-liquidation algo.

It has been around for some time. The problem was that IB required me to create a new user id for voting. I tried and had some technical problems. Gave up since then.

Risky to be master at only One thing. If the market changes and that One thing no longer works, it will be losing money going forward.

It is dangerous to trade automatic if the data is unreliable. IBKR market data is not reliable enough to give one the confidence to trade automatic. Just look at what happened today. If portfolio suddenly drops so much, all your cut-losses will be hit.
