    drys earnings plays

Never sell naked puts to fund another position unless you are willing to own the stock or more stock inyour case. If the stock is range bound and you believe the range will hold, sell calls at the high end and your puts at the low end of the range. If you already own stock, I'd be...

    Income Through Vertical Spreads

I don't think that selling directional spreads during times of IV is anything special nor should it be your primary focus. If IV is high or low, the extra you pay is somewhat negated by the extra you receive. Direction should always be your primary concern. Getting volatilaty right might be...

    Iron Condor on Interactive Brokers

I think fee per share/contract versus fee per trade has a lot to do with it. With per share/contract you can incrementally move in and out easier with no penalty.

    Income Through Vertical Spreads

The probability of making that 45 cts is very high and there will be a lot of room to adjust or close before the...

    PEI ---- april calls...

Imp vol is quite elevated? It was double these levels 6 months ago and triple late last year. It's actually in the low end of its year range.

    PEI ---- april calls...

Do some reading about how volatility effects option prices. When the implied volatility of a stock is around .75 then 6 month calls that are $5 out of money will be at that price.

any better way to do this

Not everyone can be an expert like you. He's not spamming, flaming, trolling. He's just asking basic questions and I assume he's trying to improve his understanding and ability. Give the poor guy a break, and the benefit of doubt.

Why using "Basis Point Volatility" is better than "Relative Rate Volatility"?

Every bb has a pedantic pinhead poster who asks for info about obscure topics he searches for in books, white papers, etc.
