    Optionetics: Good or Bad ?

Good point GATrader. There are so many good low cost books and free webinars (OIC, CBOE, CME, 888options.com, Chartbenders, TOS) that there is no reason to spend the $3k right out of the chute. I wish I had more time to sit in on all that is available. Take your time, and be patient. Don't...

Some of us who have had the benefit of living a few more years than you realize that the value of an opportunity is usually more important than the value of a paycheck. I'm done. I'll let everyone else blast him.

Thanks UpTik. You're probably right about that. The system I had when I was at a prop shop wasn't too complicated. I'll look into it.

:D I've worked w/dual monitors before and you really get used to the convenience of not having to minimize everything you're working on. As soon as I find a techie geek I'm setting it up.

Hey Everyone, I'm looking for some opinions on my next move here. 6 weeks ago I opened the following Cal spread: Bot 5 JUL/APR AAPL Puts at $2. Now, I own the JUL 60P's at 2.60 bid. The JUN 60P is 1.35 bid and the MAY 60P is .60 bid. Would you sell the MAY and/or JUN 60 puts, or would...

If you're close by, I suggest you just drop in. The last one I attended I just walked in without anyone checking to see who I was or if I paid. I had paid and registered in advance, but nobody checked. There may be seats available when you get there.

Bot the SPX 1310C cal <30 days out at 8.80 net and sold the spread when it was ITM for 12.20 net  Was an expensive debit, but percentage wise it worked out. Shoulda/coulda held it longer.

Was the 32.5 a Put or Call cal? RC's? You're right about being "too right" about direction. That happened to me a couple of times. I'm starting to experiment with Cals on indexes. So far I have had more success writing them on SPX than I have had on SPY or Q's. The ETF's lose vol...

Hi Donna, The MAY 35 Calls are left at .40, will most likely sell them Monday. I closed the Put spread at a $40 loss including commish. Had 14 spreads going into exp. Worked most of today but will tally up in a few days. Overall lost just a little $, but I believe the tuition was worth...
