Bot just liquidated, it made +$190 today... Man if not for yesterday's screw up on my bar the bot would have been on a really good roll lately, and would be fairly green by now..... oh well, no use kicking myself over yesterday, just have to keep hoping the bot continues to stay in the groove

myminitrading, If you want to find bargains do this. Go to the screen where your stock chart is, now press CTRL ALT and the DOWN ARROW at the same time. This will put your screen upside down... Now trade the shorts like you would trade the longs.. everything will look familiar

kevinmr, So the fact that IB had widespread problems today with their quotes freezing up was my fault? I am not blaming them for what happened, if you read my post I said in the end I MUST take responsibility for what happened...... I only stated that the REASON I had to take over manually...

Its the broker's fault that my quotes froze up locking me into the trade.... however it is my fault for not taking the small loss... and in the end I have to take responsibility for this and learn to not make the same mistake in the future. I think my bot would have had another pretty good...

No it has no checks for that... I am ready to break something at this point.. I am so pissed off at my self its not even funny.. By the time I realized the quotes were frozen I was down only 200.... and I could have closed the posiotn, but instead I decided to why not just hold it.. well now...

uh oh... Ib's data feed went nuts today..... it appears my quotes must have frozen up a while back.. so the bot has no way of making any decisions... looks like the only way to get the quotes back is to restart TWS....... I am turning the bot off for the dya, they gotta get these issues...

Backtest showed a profit of only $644 today... so therefore I only cut out about $100 in profit from the results... so not as bad as i feared.... ;) GREAT day either way.....

The day has ended, bot totaled +$541...... This puts my total after I forget, i think 23 trading days at +$165.. so I am now back in the green at least. I know I am going to be angry when I backtest and see what I should have made.... just estimating I think the real total should have been...

nonlinear, I will never give absolute specifics. But yes, I have a threshold that the divergence must reach...... this threshold is only reached a couple times a day.. its not very common. Normally before the threshold is reached the longer term trend comes into sync with the shorter one...
