    Penny-priced options

he he he....If only that were true!!! In any event, "making" you hit the bid and lift the offer in a two or three-cent wide market is hardly the end of the world. I feel for these market makers. Options liquidity providers have been taken to the cleaners in recent years, so I won't begrudge...

Why option trades are not reported to IRS on 1099?

I've traded options for years and this is always a question that's bugged me. If there are any tax accountants out there who know the answer to this one, let me know.

    Any good option advisory services

Good luck getting through to Tom if you are an average retail guy, which it sounds like this poster is. Stick with the free stuff, my friends....

    Index Options vs. ETF counterpart

ETF options are a low cost way to do what you can do with full index options. Why waste all of that money to buy one SPX contract when you can buy multiple SPDR Options instead? This opens up index investing to a whole new world of retail investors that previously could not participate in index...

    Penny-priced options

Everyone knew that the QQQs were the product that was best suited to the penny pilot. They have the most liquidity and seem to be able to support penny increments better than less-liquid products. I've been trolling the web looking for feedback on the penny pilot and there doesn't seem to be...

    Any good option advisory services

I tend to agree with the other posters about staying away from paid options shills. There are quite a few of them floating around out there, many more per-capita than other financial markets. You'd be better off reading all of the free options sites to completely inform yourself...

    Penny-priced options

MSFT still seems to be relatively narrow. The 30 calls were still trading a penny wide this morning and the puts were three cents wide. The other stocks tightened in the beginning of the pilot then eventually widened back out. This doesn't appear to be happening to MSFT. Apparently it actually...

A few friends have been bugging me for a while to find them good free options info/sites. I've been putting them off for far too long (mostly because I'm lazy). But, after reading this thread, I thought I'd give these sites a try. Here's my rundown so far: www.oicoptions.com This is a new...

"Options market pricing in a X% move on the stock"

"He says that he will not take just anyone into this service, implying that he has to turn people away. Hmmm......" Hmmm indeed!! Somehow, I don't see him turning away clients willing to throw cash at him. However, if you're stupid enough to throw cash at a guy who shows up on tv...

That's interesting. If you talk to the people at OptionsXpress, the thing they stress the most is their superior technology.

I guess the ultimate question then is: Is the Academy a scam or is it worth it?
