Yea, I know what each tick is worth. I just never did the math before to figure out exactly what the wash out would be if I had to hedge. So, a learning experience.

960 was the average. Actually, 960.6. I scaled in for 5 at 960, 5 at 961 and another 5 at 961.

Damn. YM just came back. Covered the short at 975 for a -$1075 on the 15. But I'm up $375 on the ES long. This sucks. Waited too long to go long on ES to hedge. Time to do some more homework on how many ES equals how many YM and when to do what. Trading builds character, right? :p

IB just flashed a note: 12:01:53 To ECBOT traders: Mon Mar 7 12:01:52 2005 EST The exchange is reporting that they will re-open at 12:10 EST. I'm guessing a few IT guys are going to be pounding the streets this afternoon :)

Where'd you get that? It hasn't come back for me at all. A couple quotes blipped up but they're gone again.

That's it. I'm long 15 ES. Even though 15 YM and 15 ES don't equal each other perfectly, it's insurance. This has never happened to me before in the 35 months I've traded. Had IB lock up several times of course but my other broker always was there as my backup. FUN TIMES!

Yea, can't get out obviously. But ES has risen to about where YM was when I shorted an HOUR AGO, so I've got my finger on the ES buy button to help offset what I might start losing on my short.

Well, as long as ES keeps dropping, no reason *yet* to hedge. Unless they bust all the trades.

I've traded this for a little less than three years now and the CBOT feed has never gone down when I was in front of the screens.

Esignal posted saying the ECBOT trading is down and was halted at 9:20 CT. It's not the charting or broker.

My YM just stopped on both Esignal and IB. ES and NQ are still updating so the software's fine. Anybody else have YM stop cold at 09:19 CT?

Can one use Ninja Trader's front end with Velocity Futures? If so, would that still require the $500 X-trader fee in order to get the reduced commissions? Is there any way to eliminate the $500 fee (account size? something else?)

Closing doors as in everybody has to leave, thus only one hour of drinking?
