The American educational system is a disaster, so the rich turn to the best

The education here sucks because teachers are forced to teach interest-based theories and they leave very little room for intellectual analysis. Almost all economics course in the U.S. used text books by Paul Krugman. The curriculum is dictated from the top-down and free-thought as well as...

EchoTrade - what's up with them?

This is from another post - I heard rumors of mergers but at this point, I don't know why unless it was some type of acquisition. Echo was a well-spoken-of group. I never heard one complaint about them in ten years.

So the winner is hired to trade for the fund and gets a management fee of something like 2%-4% of that. Something like 60-120k management fee. Not bad for a prize.

EchoTrade - what's up with them?

Apprently, they are no longer running. They had one of the best shops around. I'm disappointed to see another firm stop accepting customers. Anyone have any clue what happened here? Were rumors of any merger true?

    WTS, EchoTrade, T3 - Leave a Review

I trade for WTS. I know people at Alpha 7, T3, WTS, the Brights and others in the industry from experience & I agree - if you aren't around successful traders who can demonstrate that - you should forego the option.

    WTS, EchoTrade, T3 - Leave a Review

I see where you're coming from but statistically speaking, your odds of overcoming the risk with that much capital access are very low unless you implement very stringent risk-management controls such as max positions, max share per position, etc.

    WTS, EchoTrade, T3 - Leave a Review

That's not true. Apparently, Echo has also closed down. I always said the best option for an experienced or intermediate trader is a registered b/d where there is more oversight and you have control over the capital; However, I was just saying it is not inherently the most valuable for every...

    To blush the cheek again

well, if they were there oil rigs to begin with.....then again, why do we need to go to such extremes to protect oil rigs yet innovative clean-energy sources are illegal and being persecuted?

Being a Young, American Adult Is a Financial Nightmare

this is the last generation before we go back to a slavery based system or at the very least some type of neofuedal land-owner & serf relationship to elites.

    To blush the cheek again

OR we can just cut taxes dramatically and stop spending trillions on wars based on lies and preeminent offense. A little social spending may sometimes seem justifiable but right now we're at the point where more americans are on gov't assistance than we have people working full time. More...

    To blush the cheek again

the FDA has an incestuous relationship to big pharma, which subsidizes 1500 FDA employees , many of whom are former big pharma employees and hold stock options in big pharma companies. Big Pharma are publicly traded corporations, who like tobacco companies have one mandate, increase profits for...

    Who broke the USA ?

There are other ways to get protection without government. I like to liken the EPA's relationship to big oil like the FDAs to big-pharma. the FDA has an incestuous relationship to big pharma, which subsidizes 1500 FDA employees , many of whom are former big pharma employees and hold stock...

    Who broke the USA ?

You need 2/3 of the states' legislators to amend the constitution. None of the powers to regulate the environment are legal - constitutionally speaking. That's why regulatory bodies don't use the court system. They have their own courts where they are judge, jury and executioner and that is a...

    To blush the cheek again

I feel you CMB but in my opinion, price controls would do what they did in many parts of Latin America - destroy the quality of care. If you want a system where only large hospitals exist and wait times are enormous to see specialists, implement price controls. I'm glad you were only...

Thanks Tsing. I appreciate the feedback. If crazy, crank or bug are puns for people who enjoy and value freedom over authority, I'll gladly wear the label.

    Who broke the USA ?

The greatest nation on earth? That is your bias speaking. We have the most debt, the most wars, the biggest deficit, nowhere near the best education, nowhere near par in health care services. In most terms, we are lacking far behind other nations. One more thing is that Paul is a...
