    So basically papertrading is...

Try it like this: A theory of market action, which requires testing against real conditions, is like what the aircraft designer uses. Actual trading, which you are describing, corresponds to what the pilot does. One's no good without the other.

    So basically papertrading is...

It appears you trade the market like washing dishes: just bring yourself along and wing it.

    So basically papertrading is...

    So basically papertrading is...

What did Robert Goddard have in one hand during the early days rocketry? Of course, a model rocket! Did this famous pioneer eschew simulation? No! If he had, it's doubtful he could have ever got it up and off into glory as he did.

A concern with CRTs is the high voltage used in creating the image. Radiation of various types is produced, including microwaves, x-rays, etc. It's no big deal when watching the game with remote in hand from the couch, but it can be a problem when sitting two feet away for several hours of...

Congratulations on keeping it simple and emphasizing your brain over the hardware experience. However, I would advise caution with two cathode ray tubes up-close for hours. Also, a tea mug seems like a good idea. I tried a whisky glass for a while, but that got a little out of hand.

The IQ test is a formalization of the reductio ad absurdum of mind as calculating machine, I think.

    Obtaining Trading Capital

You make an interesting observation. Trading 160 stocks could be putting too fine a point on it. The market isn't that finely resolved. It usually trends in maybe about 20 major groups on a given day. On top of that, add noise.

Understood. You wouldn't actually be selling them the system. You would be licensing the output, one day at a time. Whatever you decide, best of luck with it.

    Obtaining Trading Capital

It wouldn't be so bad if you are getting rich at the same time. If your signals are worth, say, an additional 0.35% return per day on an account of $1,000,000 buying power, charge 'em $1,500 for it (per day).

    Obtaining Trading Capital

Here's one: Build a slick user interface, and then distribute the output of your system in real time in the form of trading signals. You can charge a fair portion of whatever value-added your "black box" stage represents.
