most direct access softwares have an api that you can connect to and you can use all their lines. Realtick Genesis Trac just to name a few.

If you have the capability to NX a quote with size then do it. But if the quote is 1 and you think it is going to move then the next best thing to get on the next print is a mkt order. Reasoning: limits will pile up on the book with 1 quote and you get prioritiy on the next print. j--

Who's your broker? It might not have made it by the close, sometimes the lines get busy and and orders slow down. Some dot providers slow down on busy days because all their clients are sending order about 30 seconds or so before the close. It can delay orders but just depends on how crappy...

It all depends on how the firms are connected to the quotes and how those firms are connected to the exchanges/ecn's. And then it also depends on how you are connected to your software. Some people have internet connections vs. others have t1 going to the software. Lots of variables in there...

Brut is free, use them then. Arca pays you on amex.

Just send them to a regional(chx trades about 80-90% of the amex stocks) or if it is an ETF send to regional and/or NYSE. You got 5 mintues in NY and don't have to worry about the exchange fees or any other fees that the amex has. j--
