Spydertrader's Jack Hershey Equities Journal II

Speaking of unusual volume, on one of Jacks recent uploaded videos from Tucson he mentioned an analog to Qcharts Unusual Volume available in Tradestation. I don't see anything like it though and was wondering if any other TS users know what he was talking about or if any of you converted WL...

    Is Trading Ethical?

Einstein said something close to this: "If I had to do it all over again I'd be a trader, it's a noble thing to do". That's right, he said "noble". Trading is simply pure capitalism. If you condemn or question trading you question capitalism.

Spydertrader's Jack Hershey Equities Journal II

Qed, Before laying any more money on the line I would urge you to read the whole journal first and note the last page has an overview of the whole method. In particular, note that the method depends on a strict scanning process for high relative strength, high EPS stocks within specific...

Spydertrader's Jack Hershey Equities Journal II

QED, I don't know if you've read the journal from the beginning but NUAN doesn't fit our criteria at all. It lacks rank (no cycles) and has a negaitve EPS. I didn't look at float or other factors.

    Tradestation Historical CD Question

I'm far from an expert, but the first thing I'd try is this: right click on some of the files and select "open with" from the menu. Then select notepad. If they are text files they'll open right up. Many software producers use proprietary file extensions even though they're just plain old...

    Market Delta Fans

Volume profile is not even close to being the same as MD. Market Delta is a software package with a unique charting feature which they call "footprints". Volume profiling is now becoming a relatively common feature on lots of platforms which gives the user total volume at each price level.

    Charting software with market profile

When you bundle ticks together you loose resolution. It becomes impossible to correctly assign whether each trade occurred on the bid or the ask. To do this accurately requires a tick by tick data feed.

    tick-by-tick playback

Neoticker and esignal both have these capabilities.

Help Me With A Trading Question Please

You'll get different answers to this question even from the IRS. To be on the safe side, it's best to individually list each trade. Really not a big deal for the number of trades you're looking at doing. Trades are recorded on Schedule D of form 1040. I'm not sure, but I think that you must...

    Difference between earnings and revenue?

Microsoft sells software. The revenue is the money they take in from selling said software. Earnings is what's left after paying employees, overhead, the guy's that break the knees of their competitors, etc.

IB - Why do you treat my Credit Union like a joke?

You can verify a check all you want but that doesn't mean fraud isn't involved and (surprisingly) it doesn't mean a "verified" (whatever that is) check can't have a stop pay placed on it. Two different bank presidents told me exactly the same thing. You can stop pay on a cashiers check, and it's...

IB - Why do you treat my Credit Union like a joke?

Sorry if this has been mentioned already, I just skimmed the posts. I saw someone mention "certified" funds. There is no such thing anymore. Hasn't been for a long long time. I remember when you could get a "certified check" which was the equivalent of cash. Now the best you can do is "cashiers...

It is IMPOSSIBLE to make money in the markets

It took me over 5 years to get this game. I refused to understand that your opponent is your own self. I had every rational reason to explain this away. I couldn't accept that I indeed was my own worst enemy. Granted, you need a trading methodology that works, but many are available. I talk...

    Mini Dow vs. Mini S&P

I trade both. One isn't better than another, but each has characteristics you need to be aware of to make the most of a given situation.

IB doesn't provide tick-by-tick streaming data?!

I find that compared to Qcharts, Genesis, Esignal, and others, that IB leads or is equal to the others speed. While I respect that some individuals may indeed have a lag (maybe IB's fault, maybe not) it would be foolish to base a decision off of a single, internet forum opinion.

Bypassing Windows XP with .NET Welcome Screen

I understand your frustration, but I doubt it's a .NET problem. It's much easier to troubleshoot this stuff if you don't get stuck in believing what it is before you find the truth. I suggest booting from an XP disc and going into recovery console. Just follow the instructions on the screen...

    IB & Living Trust

Not sure if this is right forum, but as it's an IB account, maybe someone from IB can chime in. I am the advisor on a F&F account. One of the client accounts is creating a Living Trust and will of course need to convey personal assets into the Trust. The question is: how do you do this at...
