If i'm not mistaken, the minimum to open a futures margin account is $2500 as per regulation (in the USA anyways).

I could think of a bazillion more useful things than cards that they should implement. Like EUR accounts (amongst other ccys). Or that they pay interest on cust funds. Or accept bills or other AAA govt paper for margining purposes. Or an universal account ala IB. Or eurex acess. Or ..

For small traders there is an additional minimum ticket fee with IB when converting the PnL to the account base ccy. Will be interesting what volume breaks MB will offer.

Yes that is true. Firms that do offer CFDs and the like on exchange-traded commodities and stock indices can not accept U.S. customers. If they offer f/x only, no problem. There are still a few fx firms that don't accept u.s. citizens no matter what, not sure why.
