    Trading with yourself

Doubt there is a law about that in germany, but its against Eurex rules. Google the Eurex-website for "Cross & Pre-arranged Trades" to find more info.

Blotto: elaborate please. You got any non-public information about them? Are you saying they make their own markets?

20-50mm size in FX with IB

Just FYI, here is a good book about execution tactics. Even for a manual trader its interesting to read, and its very readable even for non-quants. FX is well covered too. Might be of interest if you trade that large.

Ninja doesn't display DOM for fx-spot - you have to use their FX orderentry window called 'FXPro'. With fractional pricing in spot the classical DOM orderentry window wouldn't be that useful anyways.

    4 ports @: 2560x1600 @ 60Hz

Another cheap card (<$50) is Radeon 5450. Passive cooling and low power consumption. It can drive 3 monitors per card. If you get one of those, be sure to get one without fan (noise) and with a DisplayPort output. Only those models with atleast 1 Displayport output can do 3 monitors, the others...

    4 ports @: 2560x1600 @ 60Hz

Or, you get the age old NVIDIA Quadro NVS 450, which does the same thing for a third of the price (except for 3d, but that isnt needed in a trading machine anyways). Its passively cooled so it doesnt sound like a vacuum-cleaner too, like this ATI thing.

    Historical 5 Min Data

You can order data from CQG without subscribing to their software: www.cqgdatafactory.com Not expensive either..

New Video Card : 6 Outputs

Or, get 2x Radeon 5450 (3 outputs each) for a fraction of the price.

    Windows 7

I'm using W7 64 bit since a few month without issues. No compatibility problems with win32 applications too. If you need the extra ram its not bad. Whats annoying is the windows explorer. If you work with a lot of files and folders often, its a huge step backwards from usability perspective...

    Interactive brokers forex question

NZD pairs don't trade for a couple of hours per day (reason unknown). That's rather useless. For the other pairs, the 15 min downtime for rolls and settlement is pretty much standard, although there are firms who only need a few minutes for that.

    Trader Reporting Software

Its simple really. I have got information about fills from the frontend from various instruments, for example, ES, fdax and AUD/JPY. Obviously you need fx-quotes in order to compute PnL and marks on open positions. At the moment, i'm entering this manually.

    Trader Reporting Software

Can it deal with accounts/instruments denominated in different currencies? I'm using my own stuff in excel, and that's the only thing i'm not satisfied with.

    EUR/USD

So you perfectly nailed the multi-week low (by 10 to 15 pips) in both eur/usd and gbp/usd 4 days after the fact. Congratulations.

    finally proof of ManIpUlation.

Don't you get it, if its not going up it must be a conspiracy! And whats with that short silver position JPM took over from Bear Stears they talk about. A real hoot.

    Switch your accounts to Dukascopy

Yes they do, the Swiss law got changed so that every fx dealer needs a banking license. If it gets denied for whatever reason, they have to close down or go to a jurisdiction with less strict regulation. They are somewhat in the limbo, legally speaking, at the moment. Note that senior...

    Switch your accounts to Dukascopy

A bunch of Russians without a license in a tax haven - 'safe' wouldn't be the first word that springs to mind. At least as far as i am concerned.

    Switch your accounts to Dukascopy

They have applied for a banking license more than a year ago, still no decision about that. There are other swiss fx firms that already got this license, the question is why not Dukascopy.. I would wait until the regulatory situation is clear.

    Don't waste your money

Alright, i am convinced, these firms are indeed benevolent undertakings for the greater good of mankind and have, in fact, no self-interest in making their systems look good. Independent auditing is way overrated, too. And conflicts of interest is nothing one should worry about. I wish you...

    Don't waste your money

Sorry for the typos, i'm sure your foreign language skills are top notch. So, these firms do not have an interest in selling signals or customer trading volume? Maybe you could share your special insight on their revenue model then.
