    dark pools

Easiest is to test the CSFB and other pay-per -trade dark pool algos offered by IB. You will then know where you stand with ADV before wasting your time.

IB: "...terminate our relationship with you..."

Not sure they can auto liquidate on their own after 10 days! They talk about restrictions, not liquidation. My guess is that they will restrict purchase of securities or contributions, but allow withdrawals, transfer outs and sales. Time to short the IB stock!

Trading stocks vs options. Which would you choose?

The cold truth is that options are to american investors what CFDs are to the rest of the world. Convexity, stochastics, arbitrage, IV, etc.... are all for the birds really.

IB: "...terminate our relationship with you..."

"Please click the link below and provide the requested information and supporting documentation within ten (10) days. If we do not receive a response, restrictions may be placed on your account." I wonder what restrictions they are talking about

    Tradier's OptionsBrew Coming Soon!

Dear Chris, Kevin , Lex or anyone else at Tradier, I am still hoping that you answer the question I've raised yesterday (or at least give it a shot). Sponsoring this forum does not make up for the $1000 a year ask i am afraid. I (and many other here i am guessing) will shift business your...

IB: "...terminate our relationship with you..."

They can do whatever they want, and you can as well. I started a new thread to explore alternatives here: https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/0-option-trading-mega-thread-brokers-list.348774/

What are you talking about? Thomas Peterffy is worth $15.3bn these days.... I have a clear idea who is having it the best.

$0 option trading mega-thread: Brokers list.

No branch manager for us living abroad. Are you saying that Schwab is willing to negotiate fees? If so, I will skip Tradier/firstrade all together and stick with them. Something IB has never accepted to do unfortunately...

Good to know - was waiting for an answer to my other question on that other thread before I contact them...no need now

$0 option trading mega-thread: Brokers list.

Morse is a cool guy - I have seen his valuable comments on many posts (not always pushing his employer like others do). But I don't think they bring anything new to the table really. The way I see it, we are dealing with 2 types of execution styles: 1) Pure-DMA with smart routing and access to...

Re. Tradier: have a look at the question I have just raised here: https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/tradiers-optionsbrew-coming-soon.347283/#post-5178990 To me Tradier looks good but is dead-on-arrival if they are asking for $1k on top of Firstrade.

    Tradier's OptionsBrew Coming Soon!

Thanks for that Chris, My understanding from looking at your site is that one has to spend $85 monthly to use a platform (hawk) before trades are commission free. Is that correct? I have since learned about Firstrade and wonder what the difference between the 2 of you is? My understanding is...

$0 option trading mega-thread: Brokers list.

I am fed-up paying $0.65 per contract (IB, TD, Schwab...) and am now looking for alternatives. The purpose of this thread is to collect everyone's experience when dealing with smaller shops. Namely: 1) Segregation or recoveries if broker goes under. 2) Customer service (or lack of) 3) Platform...

    Tastyworks capped commission

Capped at $30 but you have to pay $55 to use their platform on top of that! I am now comparing Tradier to TW to see which one is cheaper. They both root orders to APEX anyways....
