pretty sneaky GG..:D darkhorse, like they say at posters anonnymus, the 1001th post is the toughest one to avoid. if you can avoid that one, its all downhill from there. homefree.. (if you do that 1001, i'd be curious as well) take care

    trading my equity curve

sorry I goofed there, the position size should be an equal dollar amount, not # of shares (unless your trading the same stock all the time)

    trading my equity curve

GG, Its a good idea to make sure that your equity curve reflects a single position size (every trade = 1000 shares or whatever) otherwise, if you increase your position size, your equity curve will be skewed in your perception and the drawdowns will be more volitile relative to drawdowns...

The put up just shut up?

obviously a futile maneuver. so what would their true function be? either to save face for the pres. or to smooth out the inevitable decline. they probably have huge statistical bell curve graphs on the monitors of their secret underground trading base showing the psychological...

The put up just shut up?

that rally looked totally fishy to me. If I were the head honcho of the plunge protection team or whatever, what indicator would I use to know when to jump into action. How about a presidential address saying that things are ok, strong etc. and having an s&p chart downticking on every...

    Market Dreams

ROFL.. That's hilarious If I were to trade that one interpretatively I would be looking for overall weird price movement that day. I would probably short the british pound and then after a misty (choppy) rally later in the day I would be looking to short the Canadian midget er.. Dollar...

I had a doozie of a dream last night. lol I was peacefully walking thru the woods somewhere and I looked up and saw coming up over the tree-line ahead of me a 200 foot wall of water! (TSUNAMI!) It started crowning and i heard a voice say something to the effect of: "only those who are...

Absolutely. happens all the time. I get this weird feeling of "knowing". Its the proverbial lightbulb over the head *DING* thing. BTW its COMPLETELY unrelated to traders emotions of hope and fear. it runs on a completely different circuit imvho. The other thing is the overall "feel of the...

    Superstition, Luck and Vodoo

One of the flaws in this thread IMHO is the assumption of linear, forward moving time. we assume that this is he case, because that is what we "experience" normally. But what if it is different than that, what if the bizzare conclusions of quantum physics have a personal connotation...
