not posted...past week I've done as many trades in 3 days as just about all of last month. There is absolute opportunity for a trader as Fighter said if you trade both sides of the ES market. I think next week will offer another week of volatility in addition to options expiration so I'm...

this is the chart I put up lats month...we now have broken thur the middle (up) trendline...will we freefall to the bottom TL? With such a steep, fast drop I hesitate to continue to go short....however certainly have no reason to be long. While I thought we could be down 50pts this week I...

nice trade there vol...everyone is at fault ammo. If Boehner allows congress to vote on a clean CR he loses his job as speaker. so he is a frightened chickensh#t..dems are arrogant bas%dards and none of them really seems to care what the whole debacle does to the economy. Where is...

Noticed big and fast moves on my (tick) screen abt that time. We have 7 trading days before default which..surprise...surprise ...happens on day SPX Oct options expire. Expect pretty sharp moves and put buying on moves up. I rolled out my short calls/puts Oct to Jan and imagine a lot of...

no it does not..a bit of a different animal. vxx/VX is not the same as spx/ES...a number of different moving parts. I know I don't understand it thus don't trade it.

I got "stuck" with a short at 75 close on Fri. I'll buy it back at 71.25 and planning on buying a protective call (weekly) but decided this week could get very ugly even "if" there is a deal...I think enough damage has been done to slow down the economy for the balance of the year....will see...

    2012: The Battle for Survival

Still a nice overall return..perhaps knowing you can't trade at work will help you keep disciplined to just taking the highest probability trades and not over trading which with our commission rates...is the bane of my existence.

ThinkorSwim Paper Money problem - crazy fills, strange order statuses

I've had no problems trading real money (since 05) I don't really use paper trading much so can't help with your problems. You should get a good answer from the trading desk. I agree with the above response that simulater fills can't really duplicate live fills.

thanks ammo...swim lesson was where I heard Jeff B demonstrating it and I thought it was a pretty interesting indicator. also interesting he was using tick charts.(not Jeff..the guy your talking abt). what I've used pretty successfully in the 1600 along with slow stoch..perhaps I'll throw that...

RS Wilder is the guy that created this and he does quite a lot of backtesting/research etc so I think it must have some validity. No question for us retail traders longer time frames...less trading simply is more cost efficient. Thats one reason I've switched my option trading to futures...
