4hr ES has started a possible downtrend mov perhaps will see 1750 by EOD tomorrow..selling a put or two over the next 2 days of EOM and weekly ..45 & 50. VIX is up almost a point but still 14ish so no major fear.

You don't know what else there are doing. Yes some people use ITM or NTM options as a stock equivalent. Usually if they are doing that they will buy deeper ITM since there will be less theta loss. Buying an OTM call option is all time premium so usually not a good trade...you are totally...

closed the trade for .50 credit...I probably could have held the 540 short call but I don't trade equities and don't feel comfortable holding this position...net credit per contract was just over a buck. GL in yours..looks better this am!

When IV is "relatively" low calendars/diagnals might work. You could sell the 80 NOV and buy the 75 DEC put which would frame your trade. That would cost .01 plus comish..or buy the 75 and sell the weekly's on a rolling basis. This works pretty well as long as we don't go violently down or...

nice trade... the only problem I have with FX calls is that they are simply long or short...mostly long and it basically a stock call...NOT an options trade. All he is doing is picking a direction and saying I'm going for it, just he uses the calls instead of the stock....so I think all...

I'm sure you could sell a call spread...ask them. Most major brokers allow any defined risk trade. Looks like you may be OK..trading 525..see how it goes tomorrow if its not much lower you can either buy a lower priced put to reduce your risk or just roll till the cows come home....

don't know if you took the trade regards but hopefully your 510 will be OK...my plan is to let the short 540 call expire this week then sell any residual value of the following weeks 545 to add to my little credit of $100...at least it made the time pass....:)

regards...after looking at the trade here is what I did.. sold the Nov1 540 calls (big contract on a 1:1ratio) bought Nov2 545 calls...........................$114 credit less comm costs did 2 contracts. If aapl tanks I'm ahead 114 (less comm) they will expire. If aapl goes up...near...

If I were putting on the trade I'd sell the 4 day 520 call and buy 2 of the 11 day 545 calls for pretty much 0 cost and a bit less risk.
