yes... i first started using the 2 target method due to emotions... each trader has to decide to use what they are comfortable with. But I still made money with the 2 target method and managed the stops/stoploss to minimize losses and that also helped with emotions. It takes quite a while to...

are you two saying one method or the other will not work? I have used both and they both work, depending on your entries and how you manage the trade to profit or loss.

either one will work, depending on how you manage your trades between entry and stoploss, and between entry and your targets. both can make money, either 2 targets or 1 it depends on what you are comfortable with and how you manage the trade.

I don't think it made sense to you. Just because you have a trading plan doesn't mean you don't have to periodically review it. As you said in one of your other recent posts... nq has changed from summer to fall.... and hence, you need to be sure your trading plan still works... same with...

But I figure once a person actually has a trading plan, the only thing to ever discuss at the end of they day is if you followed it or not, and if on this particular day you had the winning trades or the losing trades out of the possible statistical spread of outcomes. Ah... if only it was this...

KP... you are right about pnl.... better to focus on how many ticks or points per contract you can pull out of the market.... some traders use 1 contract and make 1 point other traders use 10 contracts and make 1 point for 10 times the profit. so you cant tell by pnl and can get confused as to...

KP... i'm an old guy and probably wasn't good at asking my questions question 1 was trying to get you to think about the fact that the market is always changing and sometimes what worked in a slow/low volatility market doesn't work in a really fast/high volatility market. I haven't traded...

KP.... couple of comments 1. as you noted... price movement yesterday and today is very volatile... given this volatility, a lot of analysis at the 1 min level can be just noise in volatility and not mean anything... things like double tops/bottoms and the 18-20 point bars. Price was moving so...

I'm really happy with the results, so I don't want it to sound like a greed thing. I was mainly thinking out loud in case I end up playing with the stop numbers a bit. But I think I'll keep the stop strategy how it is for now until I have enough trades using it that I can make an accurate...
