    Bond rally nearing an end?

I'm a little worried that this period leading into mid-year may be a little dull, with volatility within a defined range, but no trend that will take us to either 4% or 6% either way... here's hoping if we continue to rally we can all scale in big, and ride it for all it's worth...

yup, not even a handle, brokers need 1200 per contract overnite margin... If I was doing size I'd be sweating EVERY single TICK, you absolutely don't think right in those situations... the 30s fall 2 points, and short cover a couple ticks, you tell yourself it's a reversal... trading scared...

    Swift Trade Canada/Hong Kong

Doesn't sound like much to be honest, given how much risk you are taking... People in my industry (which already is back office) make about that much, starting salary... If you go to the States, you're looking at about 80K after 3-4 years... YOu mentioned I-banking, it's a suckers game, nobody...

    Bond rally nearing an end?

Canada recently signed a lumber agreement to stop Tariffs from being charged on our softwood to the States. This president talks free trade but when it comes down to it, the lobby and congress either tie his hands or push him the other way... It took over 4 years and billions to get a deal. And...

    Bond rally nearing an end?

I think it will be several more months before any talk of deflation starts hitting the publications... I remember deflation talk not hitting when the bubble crashed, but maybe starting 2001-2002... i think you're right in that if the economy slows dramatically and rates need to be softened...

    Bond rally nearing an end?

I think the threat of inflation is very prevelant, whether or not it materializes... My comments are simply that there are always those out there, usually the Administration, who find ways to explain how "this time it's different, there's no wage inflation because of productivity and...
