Jack Hershey – MACD and Stochastics helpers for 123 and FTT's

Don't know if it fits into discussion topic, but has anyone tried to use CCI for spotting FTT's and 1-2-3's?

    What is Momentum trading?

Thanks for explaining things bug. :) Yes indeed, it's bighog who taught me to cut losses very short and run good momentum winners until the likely mass profit taking point or momentum fading away. And now I can definetely say he is dead right about this kind of MM.

    What is Momentum trading?

Of course there is no "free lunch"... But there IS a good MM which is about letting profits run and cutting losses short. Why would I keep the losing trade? My average stop of 2-3 handles is usually way enough to find out if I'm right or not even in limit down days in NQ, not even speaking of...

    What is Momentum trading?

Momentum trading is jumping on a move like one which just have happened in NQ and taking 10 handles in several minutes while risking just 2. :D

10 Pips Per Day - Everyday

I told this once already in another thread and will repeat here: 90, 95, or even 99% failure rate is GREAT news for serious trader, simply because it's a clear proof that trading is a serious and very profitable business and as such, only few can grasp it well... If trading was such a...

Do you usually anticipate a price movement and enter with limit order or jump on a move already underway by using stop/mkt orders?

10 Pips Per Day - Everyday

Good tactics for sure! I usually try to keep r/r as skewed to winning side as possible too (it also often exceeds 1:4, 1:5), but over time developed a short-term trading style (in SIF's, but it turned out to work just as well in FX futures) which allows me to use a very short stop (equal to just...

10 Pips Per Day - Everyday

Who said you that you have to expose yourself to much risk??? As kiwi_trader (a very good trader BTW,he helped me a lot to learn to trade better) once said: "thats the beauty of daytrading - risking under 1% on a trade, but making many trades during a day"... Not exactly such words, but sense...

10 Pips Per Day - Everyday

BTW, no need for a retail trader to overleverage at all... No need even to risk over 1-2% of equity on a single trade. Because retail trader has an advantage of being quick and using his edge many times a day with small stop. This is the way to huge %wise profits, not insane risk taken...

10 Pips Per Day - Everyday

I excellently understand what means long term of course. :D What you seem to misunderstand is that larger traders switch to long term strategies exactly because they can't trade shorter time frames, because of LIQUIDITY issue. And as for banks and hedgies... They use much more complex...

10 Pips Per Day - Everyday

ROFL! Please! It's in your best interests to stop writing things like that... It seriously harms your reputation, believe me. I really don't want to insult you by saying this, but such posts look like you have no idea what trading really is... :( Have you ever heard such a word as "liquidity"?

Jack Hershey – MACD and Stochastics helpers for 123 and FTT's

I see, well good luck in finding additional edge in those indicators. Just for myself I found that simpler the better and price itself gives enough information and such a simple approach makes trading decisions easier. Join to New Year greetings... Let this 2008 become the year of great...

Jack Hershey – MACD and Stochastics helpers for 123 and FTT's

I don't quite understand the use of indicators for trading channels... Isn't price and volume (or even just price in the case of FX) enough? I thought Spy got rid of indicators in his futures thread...
