    Wizetrade Journal

By the way, there is one more thought I would like to offer on this subject. I noticed for my own trading, that I learned to enter first (that wasn't so hard) and only after much additional "experience", did I learn to manage my positions, through the slow, tedious, agonizing, and exciting times...

    Is news necessary to trading?

In my opinion, news is used by market makers as a rationale to mark the market up or down. After all, if you look hard enough you can find plenty of good or bad news just about every day. I look to fade these "event driven" days. Just look at todays end of market activity in the ES. Did you see...

    Wizetrade Journal

You know it is hard not to be contemptuous of this approach. Looking at my own motivation, I see that I have spent a lot of my time and money to (finally) get to the point where I actually see some results. Also It seems to have taken an eternity to weed out the hucksters from those who know...

    Understanding Greeks

Hi Again: I think InandLong has some excellent points to make. It is clear that you don't have to know Greeks to trade some types of positions. However there are some that do require that background. For Crimson's benefit (you like examples, thats good) selling straddles is one where you really...

    Understanding Greeks

Hello Traders: Greeks are the tools of the trade. If you enter into a trader without using them (or being able to realize how they affect your position during the life of the trade), you are at a disadvantage. Also you are competing with other traders (some of whom are the counterparties to...

    How do ETF's work

ETF's can be structured in several ways. One way to structure them is to use the Unit Trust format. This can be a rather complicated subject, and so I suggest you look into the following resources. Using search function, look up Deron Wagner who runs Morpheus Trading. They specialize in ETF...

Tight stops vs. loose stops vs. no stops

Hi: After a while, if you last long enough, you will figure out that stops are simply tools. Depends on how skillful you are, but when you know what you are doing, you will use stops to do two things. 1. To protect capital. Since the outcome of each of your trades is random, you want to limit...

    Breaking news

Hello folks: Hearing these comments, I have to believe that few of the posters have served in the military. As children, my parents taught us that we should give service to our community and to our country. How we chose to do this was up to us. My brother and sister chose to teach, and I...

    ACD System

Hello everyone: Exits based on average daily range work very well. Also depending on the market, a trader can look at the size of moves during the trading day and extrapolate from there. Its not rocket science.

    New To The Game!

Hello: Use the search function at the top of the home page to find subjects of interest. Read my "New Traders Thread" (look under "journals"). Do not buy weekend training courses. It is probably wise to have a skeptical attitude about everything you read and hear, especially performance claims...

    Scalping The Yen

I agree if you are scalping. Also I have concern as to counterparty risk. As I mentioned in previous posts, I used to trade forex regularly, but I worked with the Bundesbank exclusively. This goes back nearly 20 years. I never had a problem (I did not scalp) and on more than one occasion I was...

    Scalping The Yen

I suggest you buy add space like the other vendors, alternatively you might take this ridiculous crap to another site. I have heard that the broker you mention is slow, unreliable and "requotes" regularly. In addition I have heard that the simulator is total crap. Nice try.
