Let's run off all the worthwhile posters , asap

What is a selfmoderating thread? Is it what poster Sig said: "It's just the person's post in the thread that gets collapsed, the thread remains the same" ? Sig sounds like a sharp cookie in his posts and I have a hunch he is keeping all his good trading knowledge under his hat.

Manual tape reading & DOM in an algo age

I think mbondy and a few other posters place orders resting bellow the bid and ask looking to catch a spike that clears out the first level, but I am not sure about this. Many savvy traders no longer add liquidity by sitting on the bid or offer because they believe algos too often step aside...

Annual PnL statement 2017 - Winner will be awarded a prize!

I am 100 percent sincere and have Rin4et as one of the posters I follow because she asks good questions and she is not a poser. Many of the people I follow, like Dustin and Lescor, are winning equity traders and savvy posters. However, I don't have to agree with every single thing a sincere...

Manual tape reading & DOM in an algo age

In the old NYSE prices-set-in-fractions days: Resting orders outside the bid and offer where great! The reason resting NYSE orders were great for savvy traders was that if the specialist jumped over your order to fill a big order, he had to improve your fill price to the price he gave on the...

Doesn't adding liquidity often leave you vulnerable to adverse selection? (Your resting order is subpennied by algos if your fill looks like a good one and the algos step aside and let you fill if your fill is probably a bad one... expectation wise in the immidiate future)? How do you look to...

There are excellent threads that attract malicious trolls so I don't think downgrading threads that attract trolls is best. But it is possible I don't fully understand how your idea works. And there probably variations of your idea, as well. Anyway.. I sure do agree with your sentiments.

What kind of Edge you have?

Most edges for manual daytraders end and they end quicker and quicker now. Increasing technological progress guarantees this. Markets adjust and regulatry loopholes close ( example: SOES Bandits). This is why the majority of prop firms have ceased and the majority of winning traders from 15...

What kind of Edge you have?

Huh? Positive expectation is necessary, regardless of how it is obtained. But perhaps I am not understanding your idea correctly.
