    Swm - Wtf??

Instead of succumbing to the frustration that the above invokes, I have to ask...do you think that the broken lows on the gap down are what caused this massive selling, and not the news? Or are you saying (I hope) that a trader should ignore news and trade on price? Obviously you caught this...

    Swm - Wtf??

Efficiency that was almost as useful as a Hershey response. You are applying TA to this??? There was earnings and patent infringement news...crazy move.

    What Drives After-Hours Trading?

That wasn't after hours trading...they were pre-arranged trades that could have taken place hours prior to the print. You cannot participate in them. Notice the "Conditions" column...both had special tags.

Grinding it out, day after day

Billy you're not getting it. Corey uses a LOT more leverage than his $100k+ account size to generate returns. Your 20-40% arguments hold no water...please stop with the thread pollution.

Why some traders are bitching about the lack of volatility?

Not only does volatility create new edges, but it improves r/r on existing ones. Your theory is throwing bigger money at smaller edges, thereby increasing the risk side of the equation, but doing nothing for the reward side (you are trying to equalize your p/l, not increase). In trading you...

    Edge types, efficiency, etc

If all the hours on ET spent deciphering Jack's ramblings were applied to trading there may actually be some good traders here. Don't get caught up.

OPG (Don you got a live one here!) http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3334 MOC-yes market on close, although they haven't been anything special for some time. Errors-Look at RMBS last week for an example. That ended up being broken by the exchange, but sometimes...

    Edge types, efficiency, etc

Illiquid posted the only info that really made any sense. There is one factor you aren't completely grasping, and that's the importance of an inefficient market. Trading ES or something similar is like becoming a race car driver and heading straight for Nascar. You are competing against the...

Corey kicked my ass by a decent margin the last couple years so be thankful he's willing to do this.

True, the good traders will make less while the new traders *should* lose less.

So how was your performance in 2009

Just wondering if you can give us some performance numbers from before the market went straight up. You are aggressively stating that you are better than almost everyone here, but you have to prove that you are not a case of confusing brains with a bull market to be taken seriously.
