Mt.Gox site disappears, Bitcoin future in doubt

It would be very unwise to ban it, as it will go underground and unstoppable. It's much better to regulate it and more or less control the "bad features". For Russia: it's business as usual: Bitcoin is traded like before and (very large) Mining operations are still running smoothly. You...

First real bitcoin exchange coming this year

Hard to tell...it's quite a lot of work to implement an additional interface (and their API's aren't quite at an "industry professional level"). But, yes... it has my attention. (Edit) About BTC payments: that's a bit troublesome as we need reoccurring subscriptions, which aren't (yet)...

First real bitcoin exchange coming this year

Read again: I wrote Invented (meaning: they know how) and in development (meaning: still building)..... There are several initiatives (you can find on: bitcointalk.org), and you can Google: BitMessage for their prototypes (pricing is done by special-broadcasted messages).

First real bitcoin exchange coming this year

Oh, Yes; they are already invented and in development (one of them based on BitMessage). But problem is with every new exchange: you need to get Volume, lots of Volume....and that's the hard part.

First real bitcoin exchange coming this year

Yes it will. It's good to see that each time Bitcoin has some setback, it doesn't die but comes back ever stronger.

Mt.Gox site disappears, Bitcoin future in doubt

Aahh... that explains your irrational emotional troll posts... Well, it's really sad to hear.... but, just the same like all those who lost billions to Madoff, it's no valid reason to blame the USD (as the currency Madoff used for his scam). It's not Bitcoin's fault, that some crook at Gox...

Why most BTC speculators will MAKE money

Source please ! Further: I have nothing to hide for Government nor IRS. I pay income-Tax on my mining activities (and can deduct all costs and loses), and property-tax on my holdings. Everything according the rules.

Mt.Gox site disappears, Bitcoin future in doubt

You can Troll away.... and make a fool of yourself.. Or, You can spend some time to understand what it really means, the same way as educated and intelligent people do, like Larry Summers this morning: http://www.coindesk.com/former-us-treasury-secretary-bitcoin-innovative-solution/

New Professional USA Exchange is already in the making: http://www.coindesk.com/secondmarket-barry-silbert-launch-regulated-us-exchange-this-summer/ (and I'm sure this isn't the only one which is in development behind the curtains).

Why most BTC speculators will MAKE money

There we go again... another post about "no intrinsic value"..... I will not repeat my answers (read my previous posts). By the way: I Mine as well...have invested heavily in mining-equipment, and do get paid by mining-fees.

    Bitcoin pounded again

Valid points indeed.... Still it would be much better for US Government to embrace Bitcoin, otherwise it will go underground and become a real unstoppable threat (and they know that, so better not to push it that way).

Bitcoin as the world's reserve currency?

Sadly, currently all Exchanges hold your coins if you want to trade. You should never keep your coins on such an exchange unless you are a Trader/Market-maker. So best practice is to move your coins to your own wallet as soon as possible. There are developments to implement full...

Why most BTC speculators will MAKE money

You awful Troll...are you trying to hurt me? Low...very Low! If you look at the chart, then current price ($530) is the same as yesterday. No "spectacular blow off" at all, and 100.000 Bitcoins were bought today, to catch some irrational low prices. I bought a few coins on $406 this morning...

    Bitcoin pounded again

Well, I've said in other threads that Innovation is the leading force. Innovation brings progress and wealth, and this is very well known by governments, especially the USA government. Just Google "Bit License" and learn where New York is working on, to fully legalize and promote...

    Bitcoin pounded again

I agree that Doge is one of the exceptions with some amateur Miners in the Script-family. Still Bitcoin has 99%, and I really don't see that any professional Investor or VC or Payment-processor or large internet-shop will jump on that Doge joke.

127 different "Crypto currencies". Greater fool theory in overdrive

You should do some homework: Ripple isn't a decentralized crypto-currency: it's a transport-network (a Ripple is like stamp on an envelop, which is destroyed after posting). It should not be in that list (and it's printed value is fictive: as all coins are Pre-mined).
