If you do plan to short those use hard stops and never hold them past market hours. I've heard a lot of horror stories about traders losing a fortune holding shorts on microfloats.

Lack of diversification and over leveraging. It's like going all in on Energy, basic materials & commodity stocks and shorting major indexes. Russia/Ukraine conflict ends and you can pretty much kiss your account goodbye!

Your gonna get burned trying to scalp the indexes/etfs in this FUD market. It moves in a way that is counterintuitive and builds a ton of stress and emotions which leads to tilt. Swing/investing obviously not viable either. Russian invasion and inflation fears to blame.

It can work but you still need to be very selective. If you just bought every s&p 500 company after bad ER you will get toast. Timing will be difficult as well. It can fade off ER for a number of days to weeks.

Futes are down big but that rarely corresponds to where the market opens up the next day. I highly doubt we will open much below 430 but if it does I am averaging down OTM lotto calls and maybe a couple of puts for downside protection.:D
