Algofy & Turveyd - I probably believe more than most that a small account can be turned into a large one - I have done it twice myself although I did not use any leverage so as to maximize my chances of going the distance. My point was that the newbie traders planning on making huge returns...
Great point - the best thing I have going for me is a Roth which I rolled a lump sum pension into. Never to late, you can always roll your 401k, or a portion of it into a Roth when you retire.
Your the one claiming to have made 7 digits and not had a losing month - and on top of that from a small account - which means your one of the greatest of all times - according to you.
I stand down - I cant possibly compete with such big time traders....
Big claims.... Not many futures traders, even the best, could claim that. If you really pulled that off than power to you - if you can back that up you could write a book and sell it to the 5,000 or so CTAs how to never have a losing month.
you seem to know allot. Where do you get all your facts?
This is common group think by nearly any futures trader that has been around for a while. The fact you don't get this is alarming since this is outlined in many trading books. The novices usually have very unrealistic expectations...
% return cannot be applied generically across across different account sizes.
Sounds like you referring to pure derivative speculation which is like gambling - you go for broke taking wild risks with $ you can afford to lose. That has a very thin success rate, a few make some large gains and...
No changing, obviously you have to make the $1000 grow but realistically I could make a good living especially with the good exchange rate with a 10K account, bringing in $2000 per month, so that's 20% per month, easy peasy...
Maybe you should learn to trade better?

So now you change your story - trying to make it a bit more believable. You should stop making up wild claims which are beyond ludacris not to mention mathematically impossible. To...
if you work at daytrading long and hard enough you can ( many will fail ) turn a small sub 1k even account into a good life style.

That is the funniest thing I ever heard! Trading a sub $1K account into a good life...

Can mathematical models beat markets?
They haven't yet. Science is about empirical fact. There is no question that optimistic people think they can beat the market, but they don't do it consistently...
Trump has put some of the biggest Wall Street banksters from Goldman Sachs into his cabinet. The very ones that made a fortune from the sub prime melt down and the bail outs - like Mnuchin. Unreal, and he slammed these type of people during his campaign. Now we have the corporate multi...
The net profit is very symmetrical - don't we all wish the market was like an ATM where year over year we make 200% which is required just to keep the lights on - no draw downs or flat years and income tax never increased when leaping tax brackets. This spreadsheet is a fantasy - not real world.
Wrong! Its just not possible based on taxes alone. You can tell by the tax rates of years #9 & #10 - that is the mistakes most people that never made into high income brackets forget to fudge properly when making up false profit spreadsheets and/or equity curves.
For example in 2015 & 2016 the...
Buffet is no babe in the woods when it comes down to market panics and knows, as does many pro traders & savvy investors, there are certain times when the risk/reward is at extremes and you just have to get long and lean hard with size as the turn unfolds. When a president tells the public now...

If you like speed - here is the awesome Yamaha R6 run wide open right at the red-line on a highway climbing a huge volcano weaving through traffic and annoying brake checkers. Filmed in Hawaii on H3 (Oahu) - rider is a crazy young marine. The R6 that year (2004) cost about $7,000 that year and...
As a swing trader I need to see price break out of congested areas before taking the trade. AAL (American Airlines) forms an 11 week rectangle. The last bar clears 11 weeks of congestion, with the last 7 weeks being inside bars before the breakout when 11 weekly bars are taken out - that is...
