    SCALPERS - why aren't you trading e-minis?

We trade anything we can find an edge in. I am probably not the person to answer the capital question, if you make the transition without getting too chopped up, capital wouldn't be the issue. I think standard daytrading margin is $1K per contract and spreads are something like $30 - $40.

We use 100% mechanical entries, when you are wrong, it is usually something no sane person would do, only a computer. Accounts for all big losers, but it works for us. Discretionary exits, based on if it doesn't move scratch on the first sign of weakness. Lower transaction costs are the...

You wouldn't know where the MFE is until too late, hard right edge. Yes, that is the entry, contrary to the random entry theory, we care more about strong entries, less risk, if your wrong, scratch. We scratch about 55% of all trades. We have spread like your describing, works most of the...

It was scary how close it was, I never got an answer on the bottom chart he posted about stops, or I missed it when I got too busy to figure it out. We originally set it up as an option screen and it just scratched, however when a system scratches on one market, especially an option trade, it...

All systems get chopped up sometimes. The key to system trading is multiple noncorrelated systems to flatten out the consolidated equity curve. Otherwise you are searching for the "Holy Grail". In Jeanmichaels defense, even though he never answered my questions, we trade a similar system, not...

Whether or not your specific example is a rotation problem, all of the consumer feeds choke up on the open. Huge Tax Break For Traders.

I think the exemption has been raised to around $80K, plus a housing allowance, plus the wife and four kids, and maybe the dog and cat, all working diligently in the business, plus expenses; shouldn't be that hard to cover 7 figures.

    Broker short list

Basically, when you opened your account you where asked how you wanted your securities held. If you actively trade you would not want to take delivery, it is simpler to have them held that way. I am a little rusty on that, you might want to double check; but I am sure I am close enough.
