COCO pulling back on heavy volume after a huge gap up. Not a good short yet.

ARBA broke above prev high nicely, but it's a little too early for me to trade.

Ok. It's off and running. Later, I'll be looking for volume breakouts in an uptrend and other uptrenders. Monday is usually a narrow range day, so will have to see what developes.

Not my cup of tea. Thank's for explaining it, though.

Don's openings and more for 2005

I trade after 10am. I look for potential intraday uptrends. Often the best ones are ready for entry after 10:30am.

Don's openings and more for 2005

What is the concept for opening orders trading. I must ask because at the open you do not have any idea which way the stock will go. What's your rational for trading stocks with potential for small intraday trading ranges.

Don's openings and more for 2005

I am a breakout trader and I look for stocks that have potential to trend, like CVC and AEA on Friday. I am just curious to know what it is about opening orders trading that has some traders interested in doing it, and trading at the most volatile and unpredictable time of day - the first 5...

HPQ had a trading trading range of only .27c. How do you make money there? Where did you short C at?

Show two stocks that were good candidates for that type of trade on Friday last.

Don's openings and more for 2005

Ok. At the end of the trading day (you and other open order traders) show stocks that had the right setup for open order trades. Say where the entry and exit points were and what made it a good candidate to place a trade. Then others can evaluate what's right with it, and what's wrong with it.

Don's openings and more for 2005

Why trade opening orders. Why even trade before 10am when the risk is greatest. Maybe that's why you are not profitable. Maybe if you look for stocks that are trending later in the day, when the market is not as volatile, you will become profitable. AEA trended up on Friday and was a good bet...

    my trading...

This has been one of the best threads on this board and to keep it real it's better to not make claims to profitable trades, profitable days and profitable weeks, when it is not possible to verify those claims. It's always after the fact that these trades are posted. I have no way to seperate...

    my trading...

Parameters were reached for trading some of the volume breakouts like CVC and DISH, and they did rally , even though the broader market and the mood after Tuesday did not support going long. Therefore I stayed out. I'll probably trade the volume breakouts eventually, even when the market is not...

    my trading...

That's more than what I made. I only traded one day this week, in the Tuesday rally. Not that there was'nt opportunity to do more. There were volume breakouts that took off and did'nt look back. Your success, and all success is good to hear.

I do not trade opening orders. What I have posted on this thread is exactly as I trade stocks. Thank's for the offer, though.

    my trading...

The real question for me is: are investors going to jump in again and do another wave of buying that would rally the market into May or June? That would be good for long side daytrading.
