    Forex broker

For FX, I think for retail users like ourselves, Saxo is by far the best choice. They are in fact a bank now, with proper oversight by the regulators in Europe. They have a reputation to defend and are here for the long term. Their platform is first class for fx: single click trading, with a...

    Forex broker

Because the vast majority of FX brokers are pathetic little bucket shops who make absolutely sure they will not run any risk to lose money on any single trade... They need to make a spread! I use Saxo and IB. No problem at all there to leave limit orders there close to or even inside...

    Trading For Living - S&P 500 Market.

I don't know them (I'm new here, but I trade for a living for over 20 years), but both mark brown's and incognito's comments were the smartest in this thread... Trolls and scams are a major nuisance, especially if you are serious about trading. It's sad to see so many ppl fall for these...

It is not easy closing currency positions with Interactive Brokers

Is there a website with nice fundamental analysis/market commentary of currencies?

Most brokers have their own briefings organised, often linked to the newsletters / morning calls of bigger market makers... but here are a few independent ones (not sure if they are any good) http://www.fxstreet.com/ http://www.global-view.com/

Where's The Professional ET Forex Traders?

Hi All, Glad to see there is a Forex thread after all... I've been in FX for 20 years (going from bank market maker to running a bank fx desk to being a pure - salaried -prop trader to my present situation as an independent self employed hedgie...). I came to ET only recently, mainly to...

Who profits when retail traders lose?

This may sound obvious for all the pro's among you, but since you are a "beginner", here goes, fwiw: Making a few abstractions for simplicity's sake and ignoring commissions (these are simply add-ons and have as such nothing to do with market value being created or distroyed) for a moment...
