I would like to be able to place simulated trades but using live prices on the TWS platform, the demo account only has 15 minute delayed prices. So perhaps the user account can have a switch to allow simulated trades or preferably the demo account can show live prices instead of delayed quotes.

Thanks for the reply, if pt 2 is correct it means I am drawing a series of up/down narrow channels in the wide channel area marked on the chart, causing a lot of trades that are being closed out and reversed almost immediately, would experienced traders agree with this? What I should have done...

Hi Ireland Thanks for the reply, yes I agree you can expand the pt 2 to include a higher value thus pushing out the boundary of the channel, but this is only apparent later on, in realtime trading I would have probably picked up the other pt 2 as marked and produced a narrower channel...

When synching with the YM market, I understand you wait for the first 15 minutes before drawing in your channels, so you start drawing in the channels at 9:45am, and trade after that time, is this correct ?

A channel consists of 3 pts, pt1, pt2 and pt3. Do you wait for all 3 points to be established before entering a trade in that channel or can you anticipate the trade based on pt1?
