    invalidated? pshaw. interest rate futures are fungible. stock indices are hedged off or by the stock market which, last time I checked, was open outcry. consumable commodities are not as fungible as mathematical constructs -- vaporous theoretical creatures to begin with. real things...

    not quite ready to concede that, yet. It may have sucked in a few players, but it's not a "significant reserve currency." fraying socialist unions don't have those. sea change in asset allocation. like bonds and dollar up in the same day. it's realignment; trend changes.
