Zero. I would estimate that 90% of Americans have no idea where the dollar stacks up against other currencies, nor would they have any idea what a rising or falling dollar means to them or the US. With that said, I'm not sure if economists even "know for sure" what the ramifications of such...

I think the deterant there would be getting caught before the act or while in progress. Obviously they don't care about getting caught after. In fact, they are usually dead anyways.

I am VERY conservative, that is why I think Bush is one of the worst Presidents ever.

The truth hurts and it sucks hearing things like that, but that is one doomsday prediction that I do give credence to. I wish that I could tell you that the Republicans would champion that cause, but they have been as bad or worse than the Dems on spending recently.

Exactly. Isn't the true value of any instrument (stock, index, commodity, etc) the price at which you can sell it (or buy it) for? Regardless of what we "think" it should be priced at.

I don't see why this is so hard to believe. Look around and you will see a lot of money out there. Not saying this is 100% accurate, but I certainly would believe it.

I don't think we have too much to be scared about with Europe. Despite our recent differences in regards to Iraq. We have more in common with Europe than not. As you said, a wealthier Europe is good for us.
