Can you explain how that would work? I thought the momentum always = 2x as volatile as the Dow.

DDM is a 2x long Dow index. In other words, if the Dow goes up 2%, DDM goes up 4%. If the Dow goes down 2%, DDM goes down 4%. So what happened today? It opened down 6%, but the Dow certainly didn't go down 3%. Now I'm happy I sold my shares at around 86...

As I understand it, trading strategies for big funds are different than for smaller funds. So, some guy trading at his home on a $50k account could do 1% a day. A hudge fund manager trading a $50M account could not do 1% per day. Am I on the right track here?

So do people trading the gap use a stock screening program to search for stocks that gapped up or down each morning?

Can you own SPY and SSO at the same time? I mean they're both kinda the same thing... If you buy SPY and sell it at a loss, and then buy SSO less than 30 days after, does that count as a wash sale? They're similiar securities.

I hadn't considered that. Thanks. I would assume that lower volume would mean the gap is more likely to close, and higher volume would mean the gap is more likely to go, right? Higher volume = more people agree with the new price = more likely to not go back to where it was?
