I have noticed QQQQ has an 0.001 tick increment, and some penny stocks also have 0.001 tick increment. While the majority of all US stocks use 0.01 tick increment. How can I know which tick increment a particular stock uses? Is there a rule (such as....stocks under $2 use $0.001 increment)?

This same problem started to happen again since yesterday. But now the pop-up message says "Invalid order" instead of "Order rejected", everytime when an OPG order cancels. It's very annoying that I have to click off these pop-ups in the first 5 minutes of market open. I think what happened...
