curious whats all this early volatility from (ES)?

I like using the 10, 21, and 40 period MA's. Check them out, and see if they work for you. :)

how far down do we go on the double-top?

This might be novel to some here on ET, but the TREND is your FRIEND. Good Luck. :)

how far down do we go on the double-top?

You've said that 4 times now. But my guess is that you were never "in" to begin with. :D

curious whats all this early volatility from (ES)?

As a trader, you shouldn't be asking why. As a technician, you would have seen that the market was vulnerable down towards the 40 and 50 day MA's, which the market just bounced off of with vigor.

how far down do we go on the double-top?

That's what I posted earlier, but there don't look to be any TECHNICIANS on ET anymore . . .

Hope you are quick, because we just retraced 50% of this mornings run-up and are making new intra-day HIGHS!!! :D

how far down do we go on the double-top?

VPM market comments for Thursday June 21, 2007 "Yesterday’s action was unable to penetrate through the 1538.05 level in the first three hours and the market turned down for the balance of the session. The sharply lower close has satisfied most of the downside price action that I had...

10 handle rally in 20 minutes. Hope no one left their desk to go to the head, especially if you were short! :D

how far down do we go on the double-top?

You must not be much of a technician. It's not a "double-top" unless the previous lows get taken out. ie.) 1487.41 SPX.

Two Big Funds At Bear Stearns Face Shutdown

This place has been "mined-out". Nothing left in the way of veteran traders that add some quality content in their posts to this website . . . Baron did nothing to retain them, or give them an incentive to stay. So basically, you just have a bunch of "non-traders" and some newbies saying...

Two Big Funds At Bear Stearns Face Shutdown

In my opinion, it's probably ONE SINGLE POSTER that probably gets paid to keep all the "activity" up on ET. :D The guy sits in front of his computer with CNBC on in the background and gives you the "play-by-play" of the markets. Absolutely pathetic, in my opinion. And it is one of the...

    Spy Master Chart

A close above 1532.20 today will signal an extended rally toward the highs made two weeks ago at 1540.56 1578 is a potential target should the SPX move to new highs. :)

Crash 40% Down, In Two Weeks

Kurt, be sure to check out the Steve Leuthold interview in Barron's from late May in which he sees several similarities with '87. Also interesting to note: The Average Bull Market Duration ( since WW-2 ) is 36 months. So far, we are in our 56th month! The Average Bull Market Magnitude...

Crash 40% Down, In Two Weeks

I worked for PTJ in 1986 and he really believed in chart ANALOGS. He made an absolute fortune in '87 when there was such a huge flight to quality in Treasuries when stocks crashed and he had "limit" positions in T-Bonds. :D

Crash 40% Down, In Two Weeks

I completely disagree. Human behavior recycles itself over and over again. How many times per day does CNBC talk about equity "shrinkage" due to corporate buybacks, LBO's, private equity deals, etc. This is the same sort of talk that we saw in 1987 when Japan started listing American...
