Indicators are liars! Support and Resistance Trading for the S&P emini

ESResistance, What is the old saying, "Give and inch, and they'll ask for a mile..."? Speaking from experience, don't bother. You've done more than enough. Thank you for these levels and your postings. Both have been very helpful.

Indicators are liars! Support and Resistance Trading for the S&P emini

I have no idea why it is so hard for anyone to understand your position. Stick to your guns. Some of the questions thus far indicate a complete lack of taking all of 1 minute to read your original post and view your JPEG. I can put up a horizontal bar in 1/2 a second using Amibroker. Great...

Indicators are liars! Support and Resistance Trading for the S&P emini

I'm following this thread with great interest. I can't speak specifically for the OP, however in general I think the answer is yes. I studied Frank Dilernia's method quite extensively for about a year. I've read both of his books and subscribed to his service. It is based on a very...

Trouble for Remote Traders who stream a lot of data.

Chile a long time ago. Great place. California of the early 1940's. Now, somewhere in first world Asia. Seriously, when I saw what was here in terms of high tech, I hung my head in shame. All of that plus beautiful women, incredibly respectful teenagers, walk the worst neighborhoods 24/7...

Trouble for Remote Traders who stream a lot of data.

Man, you guys are living in the past. I get 100 Mbps down and up and no bandwidth cap. Actually a bandwidth cap would put a lot of the HD movies on demand services out of business here. Yep, 1st run movies available 1 - 3 months later via HD internet cable box. Included in the 20 USD /...

the most liquid and tightest spread on futures options is...

In stocks, depending on various factors, I usually have 2 - 5 contracts on each side. 10 is ideal. It all depends on your account and the premium. I'm no expert with options, but the only time I've ever consistently made money in options is selling them.

the most liquid and tightest spread on futures options is...

It isn't something I would use all of the time but I can see it coming in handy on occasion. I assume you are looking to do spreads etc versus outright buys. I gave up on outright buys a long time ago. http://www.investopedia.com/terms/i/ironcondor.asp

I've been looking too. They just might be what the doctor ordered. Have you given some thought to various option spread strategies? The only thing that bugs me about the bonds is the distance between strikes, i.e. a full point. Apparently the 10 year has half point strikes. Is this correct...

    Price Action Journal V1.5

I personally would analyze my method, and see what the perfect ratio of a given number of ticks in my favor is compared to a best case scenario and a worst case scenario. The above is confusing so allow me to use an example from my bond trading journal. After a few years of experience I...

Don't even joke about that. Think of it as if you were a professional executive level officer of a major corporation entrusted with a large amount of money. Your chart is excellent by the way.

    Darvas methods?

I use the Darvas box method on a daily basis in the ZB. It works like clock work and has made me a lot of money this year. However, you need to do the work and come up with the rules that work for your market. I studied the book. I studied the idea. I modified it and it works. Like...

    Can market profile help scalpers?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't Market Profile and Market Delta two different things? I'm sure of it. Market Delta is a similar but different product. In any event, which software package are folks using for Market Profile? Regards, JP

    Can I do this?

Just open up Excel and enter your formula in there. Excel is very easy to use and many help articles and tutorials can be found on the web. Finally, if the bug ever bites, look into anything put out by Worden, like Telechart or better yet Blocks. You'll probably find someone has already...

the most liquid and tightest spread on futures options is...

I use IB. I don't know for sure. I haven't had to phone an order in for several years. I can tolerate a bit of bid/ask spread so phoning in an order is not a big priority. I realize things are not going to be as tight as my futures entries and exits but I'll allow for that in return for a...

the most liquid and tightest spread on futures options is...

Funny how I was just curious about this question myself just today. I've traded options on and off over the years and recently have been exploring utilizing some of the various spread methods I've used successfully in stock options in the futures options. So, to continue this discussion, any...

Bond Trader 2008 (Swing Trading Bond futures, Stocks, and ETF's)

I'm still looking for a print of 109 to 110 in the ZB, BUT price rules over all, so don't fight the trend.

Bond Trader 2008 (Swing Trading Bond futures, Stocks, and ETF's)

I do believe it is time to move on. I would say that anyone who has a strong desire to know exactly what it is I have been doing can simply read the journal and piece it together. Per earlier posts, my efforts will be focused on refining my entries and exits. There really is no need for...

Bond Trader 2008 (Swing Trading Bond futures, Stocks, and ETF's)

Stand at the bottom of a flight of stairs and look up. Waterfall down = stand at the top of a waterfall and look down. I'm probably going to wrap up this journal soon so fire away.
