How do you handle big draw-downs the next day?

The dude is asking a question about trading psychology, not trading science. OP, been down the road you're talking about more times than I care to admit. We've ALL been down it. The first thing you gotta do is stop the bleeding. Trading smaller size on the following day and then...

    Best Broker for ES

I would not touch IB for futures. What the other guy said about $500 margins has some merit but I trade with a broker who offers that. IMO...it's pointless to require overnight margins for intra-day positions but I can understand why brokers are doing that. I saw what the futures market did...

setting up an incubator hedge fund.

The fees these guys charge should be against the law. Just insanely expensive. Who do they think they are, traders?

setting up an incubator hedge fund.

Much cheaper and less hassle to go the CTA route. I used to manage an LP and it was a royal pain in the ass. I switch to individual accounts. Ahhh....I have a life again! If you want to hear my experience send me a PM.

Norton could be datamining your computer

It has been my experience that Norton and McAfee are the most useless anti-virus programs available on the market. Neither of them can detect and clean even the most basic form of spyware. The most aggravating element of using either of these programs is completely uninstalling all of their...

BofAmerica, After Receiving 45 Billion Taxpayer $, Raises Base Pay From 180k to 300k

It's about time America wakes up and realizes it's not B of A per se, but the Federal Reserve itself. To this day, very few people realize the Fed is a private bank. 98% of the population believes it's a branch of the government.

Are the Big Banks Gaming the Taxpayer?

And it will be change you can believe in. It's nice to see the public a little pissed off. Up until now Joe American has been laying down. We are getting pretty close to the breaking point. Joe American will only take so much...

The Party is over for Apple - Steve Jobs is dieing

Jobs may be fighting a losing battle but he has created a culture of innovation at AAPL that will survive should he lose his battle. AAPL will move forward with or without him but hopefully with him.

Daytrading leads to Inevitable Failure? Is Swing Trading the only Viable Path?

1 Limiting profits. The very nature of daytrading means that you are cutting your profit potential short by not holding for more than a day or a few hours. There are are moves that go on for days, weeks, and months with only the slightest pullbacks. These are the moves that make your year...

Federal Reserve System is a Private Bank

The Fed publishes its balance sheet on its public operations and yes, the Fed does in fact return 95% of the interest it collects from the government to the treasury. It's not the public operations that provides their windfall -- it's the private. Imagine for a second being the controlling...

Federal Reserve System is a Private Bank

Not even close. The Federal Reserve is the biggest leach society has ever fallen victim to. They control the housing, auto, and credit card markets, just to name a few. Do a little research on this agency and you'll quickly learn they are the most powerful entity ever created by man. Read...

Most frightening statement from the FOMC - ever: Be sure to have lots of USD on hand

This is one of the best blogs I've read. Read this section. He's telling it exactly how it is. You can't force people or countries to take on debt. "We've got over a trillion in trash on our balance sheet now, which we promised would fix the problem but it didn't do jack. That's...

    Fed buying treasuries question-----???

They are but they aren't depression-proof or, "I ain't got no freaking money-proof." The only reason we aren't in a depression is because of the aggressive actions of the Fed but just how long can the Fed keep things propped up? They can lower rates all they want and flood the market with...

    Fed buying treasuries question-----???

Keep interest rates low and flood the market with money. When the Fed buys treasuries it is injecting money into the economy. When it sells treasuries it is withdrawing money from the market. What they are doing is massive injections of liquidity in the hope inflation will kick back in and...
