I hope these logs will be of use for someone out there. I know that I would have liked to see some "real" results before I started paying my "tuition." ;-) I'll post commentary as my time permits. Please ask questions if you have them as I don't know what information is most useful to you...

Toad, About two years to become profitable consistently. Just under $22K in capitol and $5K in educational materials nd software.

I am using OT 2001 Real-Time with ESIGNAL data. I am very happy with the product. All I expect of this software is automation of technical anaylisys, nothing more. I do not use it to dictate my trades.

Go to VIEW and the HEADLINES... make sure you are subscribed to a news service first.

FYI: I use ESIGNAL's news feed... during the last FED meeting, ESIGNAL had the news several minutes (yes minutes) before CNBC. Not sure if this was a fluke or not.

I recently switched from qcharts to ESIGNAL. Here are my thoughts: 1.) qcharts is still better looking I think, but I could not get reliable data. I also use the data to feed omnitrader. QCHARTS's flaky data caused omnitrader to crash often. 2.) ESIGNAL's news is also much better. 3.)...

TriPack, Thank you for the information, and for asking. My ES trading is still going strong. I have found that when scalping 1-2 ticks that I can move a maximum of 4 contracts without VERY HEAVY volume. So I now keep my scalps to two contacts, and swing trade larger positions in the ES.

Does anyone have any experience trading these? IB's recent commission cut will generate quite a bit of interest around here, I would imagine.

But if I trade from CA, am I not required to pay CA taxes anyway?

Does anyone know if there are any legal restrictions on LLC in California regarding trading? (Like, CA doesn't allow Professional Services to form LLCs.)?

Does anyone have any experience with international futures markets? I tried to load GBM2 (EURO BUND), but I think IB requires that you fund a EURO account for the EUREX exchange. Can anyone confirm this?
