IB: I just have enough of this. Orders not execute again!!

let me guess: you have not indicated you want stops outside of normal market hours to work, 2 am EST is not normal market hours, every week or so this question pops up on ET, each time blaming IB, where it is YOU who has not read the manual. So it's not IB's fault, it's your fault ...

    implied volatility

you can remove this problem by staying delta-neutral continously, although most retail options traders wouldn't really know how to do this.

    Charting Option strike price data

no chance you will ever find anything in those charts it looks like you really don't know a lot about options, better read some good books first by Sheldon Natenberg and Jan Baird for example

Canadian traders -- how are you hedging?

if you are trading retail, go with a broker that has multiple currencies, keep your account in CAD, if you have profits in USD switch them over to CAD, if the dollar goes down, your account has more buyingpower, up your size to match that.

Read those three books which I have mentioned, mcmillan is probably the least important one to really understand options and the concept of dynamically delta-neutral hedging.

first, I don't understand Russian (4 other languages yes, but no Russian) second when I analyse an optionpositions I never look at charts with different strike prices, certainly not ones with prices at expiration. I just look at my delta, gamma, theta, rho and vega over different strike prices.

There is a difference between having a delta-neutral INITIAL position and CONTINOUSLY hedging it. See my previous post.

Then again, like I presumed before you were not asking your question clearly, you were asking two different things. I gave an answer to your first question. You were really asking another question: 'how can I predict the direction of future vol or future implied vol' (it's even not too clear...

IB data fees and staff contradictory replies

It's the way in which IB works and handles those changes, but I guess you are too arrogant to understand. Instead of going that route (which has been suggested to you by various posters) you prefer to go on repeating yourself ad nauseam and want everything to be done your way ...

IB data fees and staff contradictory replies

It's been a long time since I saw someone so arrogant as you ! Life can be simple ... Either you PAY the rather small fee ... (I doubt you filled in the questions asked when you applied with IB thruthfully so big chance you shouldn't be a costumer in the first place) Either you request...

    trading VEGA

extracting profits from a change of implied volatility is indeed very well explained in those books. in broad terms you do the following if you expect vol to rise go long vega: you do this by buying options (preferably options with a large vega) while hedging your delta continously (=...

IB data fees and staff contradictory replies

Over 40 posts just whining and complaining about IB, why don't you just PAY the fucking fee like everyone else ... or else leave IB and shut up ... since you seem te be staying Ib must not be that bad ...
