i use ensign windows as charting package with IB as ,y broker. it works just perfect. the data refresh comes from DTN the real time data from IB. (49USD/month)

check your ping time for the IB server. IB tolerates something about max. 180ms, then you have a problem. Me in europe didnt have any problem today

it does not affect Volume charts. I know it from IB, they accumulate the volume and send it with the next tick they send. I personaly use Volume charts with IB on Ensign for ES and EUR

maby you need to define which price you need to update. In ensignSoftware i need to indicate if Bid or Ask (no last)

# well i think the actual central bankers are serving the banks (from where they actualy come from). we are in that mess because the cntral banks have artificially low interests (too cheap money). so i dont see, where the CB are serving the people??? they need to get canceled CLOSE...

check if you have more java versions installed. you need to have only one version. uninstall TWS and install it again, that helped me in similar problem. (you can save the settings on the IB-server)

IB (Interactive brokers) is a ECN broker and as that the spread is variable depending from the market. IB charges commission on traded volume NOT via spread.
