IB is perfect just for not sending all ticks; because of that it never lags :-) I made also some tests moinths ago and found that in heavy markets ZEN lags.... (also DTN had problems...)

as on forex is no central exchange, you never see the whole depth on any broker...only fractional depth

well, i dont know, who has to back up the EURO but i think it is the European cantral bank, not the single nations. And the ECB has 15% Gold reserves, 70% USD and 15% Yen... the single nations have more gold, thats correct.

the EURO is backed up by 80% USD, so the question is who is first to fall :-)

there will be always some small rest after a conversion that has influence on the "FX portfolio". as you dont want that smallest rest to see it in the FX trading windows you can do that: -open your account windows -open the fx portfolio -there you see the small rest -right click on that line...

well i see no problem with 50 lots, loosing only 1 pip more than with 1 lot most of the time on regular tading hours... in europe trading hours, maby 20 BUT: if you need more, trade forex and future at the same time like i do :-))) (they move exactly the same)

i dont care who is not able to show me the real actual price: the software the provider the feed the hardware from the feed provider etc.... i want to see the actual price :-) IB with the system they use, gives me that oportunity

thats the fastet move you looked at... and i guarantie you you will never be able to trade the lowest low in such moves :-)))) but i can guarantie you also , that in9 of 10 ZEN lags in such moves (in such moves a snapshot feed can miss the lowest low, when the price was there for 0,2...

well i tested ZEN and DTN, in periods with higher volume i had lags from 5 to 10 seconds, on IB NO LAGS i dont care about ticks i care about price :-))
