From another post and another third party: "TraderZones, who used to post under RCanfiel here on ET and who's name is Ross Canfield, is a failed system trader, and tried (unsuccessfully) to sell systems here for 250K as well as Collective2 (he has pulled them since). According to the opinions...

TraderZones solicited for sale, here on Elite Trader, a purported trading system for $250,000. And he was not offering the audited financial statements or third party trading system verification he espouses here. Who's the hypocrite?

    CL Spreads

It was a previously set swing low - wasn't going to be a pig, just setting an achievable short term goal. Generally speaking I want to get taken out by either the stop or the target and move on to the next trade. Hopefully this spread will pick up in vol - natty, I'm afraid, looks dead to...

    Clearing LO options on ICE

I always used ICAP in Chapel Hill for OTC electricity options, I used Prebone Yamane in NJ and Amerex in Houston for LN Nat Gas Options. Call ICAP's Houston Desk, if they can't get it you don't need it. I have pasted some corporate propaganda from their US website below. Tell them you want...

JoePaterno: I'll give you $10,000 cash for any posting I made under any other alias or IP address in this thread. Prove it. Then try to be a human being and apologize. Show me any trading educator's "audited financial statements" that satifies your criteria. Bernie Madoff had...

They went to Advantage, but there are some other very good alternatives out there as well. Any of the larger FCMs listed on the CME website is a good possibility to explore.

Well, JoePaterno, what do you care if a poster is a sponsor or not? I'm a sponsor, I've got over 30 ET members as clients, and you make all sorts of really vicious and personal value statements about me with absolutely no background information or facts. You also slam the opinions of my...

    Globalfutures, Advantagefutures or Velocityfutures ?

There should be a member circular on the CME website with audit results for Clearing Members. I do know that Advantage has a pretty strong balance sheet, if you don't see Globalfutures or Velocity on the audit it could very well be that they have a give-up agreement with an FCM. I've had a...

    Ags electronic spread trading

For some strange reason IB doesn't offer exchange-supported implieds in crack spreads and some of the interest rate spreads like the CBOT Treasury curve last time I checked, a few clients have moved from IB to other FCMs for that exact reason.

How to "sit" on a position during a big move

    1. My models are designed for intraday and swing trades, but I always take a serious peek at Monthly, Weekly, and Daily data to get some perspective on how "enthusiastic" I might be in terms of extended follow-through on a position. 2. I really like to scale positions. I won't carry a...

Latency problem from Europe to USA

I have two European clients who use Schneider - one used to be a bank trader, and the other was prop; both are now trading their own accounts. Their business is well suited to higher volume traders. Personally, I've traded Liffe and Eurex since 1997 in Chicago using TT, Echo, Patsystems and...

Who are the idiots buying bonds for 1% interest?

Dec Twos to Tens Price Ratio of 3.3332 accounts for the larger notional size of the 2-Year contract. The traded leg quantity ratio is 5:3. I didn't correct the scale for tic sizing but otherwise you get the point. If you like the exchange supported implied spreads as much as I do, the...

Holy Cow, batman, he's reading my mind. I want to cover half in here - I'm so nervous about that trendline that I'm going to buy like 3 futures at Sunday night's electronic open and not wait to work a bid on the Dec 130 calls at Monday's pit open. I like a quality sleep.

Who are the idiots buying bonds for 1% interest?

Nah, they were Tens both strikes deep ITM with identical quantities long/short calls. Apparently an FCM is allowed to net positions out and provide instructions to Clearing Corp before automatic assignments take place. This FCM clears alot of market-making business. Arrangements were made.
