Hong Kong Currency Exchange - Why so cheap?

The reason is that locations in airports can get away with it because they have no competition and there's always a demand for even small currency swaps at airports (people need food, taxi's and can't leave the airport with out local money). It's the same for every city/ airport in the world.

What is the best broker to trade Ripple or Bitcoins?

Bitstamp. One of the few places I trust not to get hacked or disappear.

This guy says futures are a failure

Why would I want to get paid in bitcoin? Most speculators just want to speculate on btc they don't need "physical" bitcoin to do that. Not to mention why would I want to hold actual btc and worry about hackers or cold storage problems. I'm perfectly fine not taking delivery if you ask me. I...

This guy says futures are a failure

It might be low volume but still higher volume than a lot of other contracts that exist out there. I just hope they list other cryptos and not call it a day if bitcoin is dethroned by ripple or ether down the road. The ability to trade crypto in established markets is awesome. I'm sure the...

Interactive Brokers - Is there someway to see limit price entered after execution?

Hey guys, Just wondering if anyone knew of a way to see what limit price you entered after it got executed. I wanted to see if I got better fill than what I entered. I can't seem to find any of the info on the TWS trade log, but maybe there's another way? Thanks

Is it bad risk management practice to rely only on one broker?

In my opinion IB does a damn good job mitigating risk. Almost too well to the point that it's annoying to deal with their excess margin requirements for a lot of stuff. Generally speaking I'd agree but would make an exception for IB.

Why is BTC on CME trading at a price premium to CBOE BTC?

OK that's making more sense thanks for digging that up. What about the margin requirements, CME's seems to be more than CBOE's (on a per BTC basis). Not sure how that would affect trading price if its more expensive to buy or sell in terms of margin. I feel like margin expense should in theory...

Why is BTC on CME trading at a price premium to CBOE BTC?

Yea I get the premium in futures vs spot but futures vs futures?

Why is BTC on CME trading at a price premium to CBOE BTC?

Yeah i knew that but it's not like the contract collects interest. Also cboe February futures is still lower then CME"s January futures price. So that doesn't explain it. So seems to me that's there more to it. Maybe some kind of premium for buying 5 BTCat once but I don't think its that either.

Why is BTC on CME trading at a price premium to CBOE BTC?

Anyone know? From what I can tell it's not a risk free arb because spreads are wide as hell on CME right now. CME is on the left, tried to line up the offers, tick sizes are different if you look closely.

Bitcoin Bears Will Soon Be Able to Short Futures Through Interactive Brokers

IB would have liquidated their positions long before it got that high. Also futures expire which means at some point in the next few month's you are always forced to liquidiate regardless.

    CBOE Bitcoin USD Futures

I'm aware of that idiot I'm referring to heavy trading requires money to be held with the broker to constantly buy and sell. I'm not talking about buying and holding it in cold storage.
  16. R

    CBOE Bitcoin USD Futures

I don't mind the high margin. I'd rather put my money in IB and trust IB/CME to be accountable to my money rather than some sketchy btc broker that could be hacked any day or go under.

    anyone tried bitcoin option deribit.com

No but I'd be first and foremost concerned about what the chances are of the exchange going bust, either through a fraud or them getting robbed. If there's one thing I learned about trading bitcoin is you have to be very very careful they're not going to disappear with your deposit. If you are...

    Need 10:1 Leverage

I traded for a firm that would allow that but they most certainly would not give you a 40 contract clip right away, it would take more than a few months probably to gain their trust, starting small.and.working your way up. Ive had coworkers hold over 100 contracts into the overnight session on...

    Autonomous Semi Trucks

Yea right I almost forgot they don't use transmissions. Surprised they put such a tiny battery. I guess it probably makes sense as they figured the truck would be load and unloading frequently thus giving it the quick recharge opportunities.
