Just sold some shares of DRL at the bid which was 19.65 as seen on Level 2, and it went through on Thinkorswim at 19.659. It seems with IB, I don't get any such price improvement on stocks. Is that the way it's supposed to be?

Okay, we may have come up with the primary cause: I have hundreds of open orders operating at any given time, which technical support say is the probably cause of most of the issue.

Did you ever try to pull out the modem for 30 seconds, then replug it (that was the first advice to me from tek support)?

My processor is 1.4 ghz, and 768 MB of RAM, with a high speed internet connection. Tek support recommended to me a faster processor (??) and 2gigs of RAM, which is what you have. I would like know if anyone else has a problem who has YOUR speed & size of RAM.

Today, on Thinkorswim, my orders & quotes were lagging. Could this be a product of the speed of my processor & my RAM (as I use a lap top--Pentium 4)? Or did others with high speed & high memory experience the same?

Ok. I also wish someone would have a thought as to whether or not the exchange in such situations are merely matching ALL orders that "barely made it" of if it's up to them, which orders they want to execute, and which they will cancel (hence, room for them to take advantage...)

Ok, thank you all. Is there any room to suspect that they send the order through if it's to one's own detriment? (A similar example: if you send odd lot orders, which doesn't have to be posted, they take out the order usually when it's to your detriment).
